ACADEMIC PROGRAMS

You have several options for completing courses through Engineering Outreach. Credits earned for courses delivered by EO may be applied in the following ways:

Master's degree programs
Engineering Outreach delivers coursework required for the master's degrees listed below. These are the same courses and degrees offered on campus. All required coursework may be completed at a distance, and you will most likely visit the UI campus near the end of your program to take a comprehensive exam or defend a thesis. Selected UI departments offer courses through Engineering Outreach that may be applied toward degrees at UI, used for transfer credit, or taken for professional development.

Academic Certificates
Certificates provide professional advancement opportunities and build a strong foundation for future graduate study. Engineering Outreach delivers courses for the following certificates.

Professional development, background study, and transfer credit
Credits earned for courses delivered by EO may be used to remove deficiencies before beginning graduate study at UI, transferred to another university, or completed for continuing professional education. See Non-degree Coursework.
