TEXTBOOKS, SOFTWARE & COMPUTER PRODUCTS
Textbook information, including titles, editions, authors and ISBN numbers, is available on the University of Idaho Bookstore Web site. Most textbooks for Engineering Outreach courses are in stock at the bookstore and may be ordered online. E-books, a digital alternative to printed textbooks, may also be available for selected courses from the bookstore at substantially reduced prices.
Textbooks for Engineering Outreach courses are included with the on-campus textbook listings, usually under section 10 and 30. However, different section numbers may be assigned, especially for special topics courses. The UI Bookstore accepts payment made by check, VISA, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express. All Idaho residents pay 6% sales tax.
The routine shipping method is via UPS ground, which takes 7-10 business days for delivery; express shipping is available for an additional charge. Students who purchase an e-book will receive a code and instructions for accessing the book after their payment has been processed.
Software requirements are usually included in the course description or syllabus. Software, hardware, and computer products are available to UI students at academically discounted prices from the University of Idaho Bookstore's Computer Department. (New and transfer students are eligible for the discount immediately upon admission to the university.) Orders and payments are processed by the same method as textbook orders described above.
