HOMEWORK & INSTRUCTORS

How to contact instructors
Instructors are available to answer questions throughout the semester, and may be contacted by e-mail or toll-free telephone. Instructors' contact information, including fax numbers, is listed in the Course Instructor Directory and on the course description page under Courses Offered.

To call your instructor, dial toll-free (800) 824-2889

  • If your instructor is located in Moscow, press 1, then enter the four-digit extension, followed by #.
  • If your instructor is elsewhere, press 0 to reach EO, and ask to be transferred.

To submit homework by fax, include a cover sheet that lists:

  • Your name
  • Instructor's name
  • Course number
  • Number of pages sent

To mail homework:

  • Retain a copy of your work before sending it
  • Include your name and course number
  • Send work directly to your instructor, not Engineering Outreach
  • If you are using express mail and need your instructor's street address, contact us.

Academic Integrity
Engineering Outreach students and faculty are responsible for maintaining academic integrity as defined by UI's Student Code of Conduct.  UI students should always:

  • submit their own work on papers, reports, homework, and exams
  • cite all materials used from other sources, such as e-publications, journal articles, newspapers and books
  • refrain from sharing coursework with other studenst
  • know the instructor's expectations for each course

Consequences for academic dishonesty may be imposed by the course instructor or the Dean of Students.  Such consequences may include a grade of "F" in the course or expulsion from the university.

See UI's complete policy regarding Academic Integrity, including the UI Student Code of Content from UI's Faculty Staff Handbook (CHapter 2, 2300, Article 2), definitions of academic dishonest, and UI's expectations for academic integrity at UI's Dean of Student's Website.
